DAMAGE TO GATES AND FARMLAND!
There are approximately 12 miles of footpaths and trails in Lanner, and we are delighted that so many walk and ride these routes.
Sadly, some people are breaching the Countryside Code and causing damage to property.
Gates are being forced open, padlocks have been cut and trespass is being committed onto working farmland. Dogs are being exercised over crops causing severe damage, livestock are being put at risk!
Please stick to the designated paths only. Do not stray onto farmland, close gates, and respect the working farmers.
Livestock have escaped and strayed to unsafe areas which causes risk to others and property.
Please stop and think – if a gate is locked it’s probably because you do not have the right to cross the land and farmers have the right to take appropriate action.
Use designated rights of way only!
