Welcome to the Lanner website

Although recorded as far back as 1542, and with settlement traces back to the Bronze Age, Lanner properly came of age with the nineteenth century Cornish mining boom. Today, it provides a thriving village community which, although no longer involved in copper or tin, is sensitive and appreciative of the legacy of that time in its architecture, footpaths and topography.

Lanner Parish Council seeks to fuse and enhance that legacy with a dynamic rural regeneration programme to provide interest and focus for local people and visitors alike.

This web site will provide an insight into some of the work carried out by the Council and describe some of the community events, services and businesses available in the area.
