NHS Waiting Times Survey
It is very timely that we launch a survey asking residents in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly to share their experience of NHS waiting times. The announcement about the temporary suspension of routine and urgent surgery last week by NHS Kernow brings the severity of the current situation into sharp focus.
There are now more than 5.5 million people waiting for treatment in the UK and the impact of this delay can be incredibly detrimental to both physical and mental health. That’s why it’s vital the NHS hears about the experience of residents waiting for care as a result of the pandemic. Whilst it’s really important for us to hear about the experience of people waiting for care, we also want to understand about the support and information they are getting to look after their health too.
I would be most grateful if you can share the survey link with any network, distribution list, constituents or friends and family to help us understand the impact of delayed treatment for residents in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. We have also published two articles on our website with support and information that may be useful.

The NHS is working incredibly hard to get people the care they need, this survey will be shared with them to help improve support and services in the future.
