It had been noted that Fern Cottage is advertised on the internet as a holiday let with direct access onto the tramway. Clerk to investigate whether planning permission for change of use has been sought/approved. Clerk to write to owner stating that no permission has been granted by Lanner Parish Council for direct access onto the trail.

There being no other planning business the meeting closed at 8.30pm

PL11/029: Grant funding for LDSB

This was debated as an emergency item due to time constraints.

LDSB has been granted a road closure order for the Lanner Carnival on 2 July. To comply with this order they are required to supply forward notices and diversion signs. To rent the signs will cost £298.80 including VAT. To buy the signs outright will cost £816.49 including VAT. Cllr. Thomas may be able to obtain signs at little or no cost for this event. However, should that arrangement not be forthcoming it was resolved that the Parish Council will make a s137 grant of up to £250 to assist with this essential expenditure to enable Lanner Carnival to take place.

The Clerk will ask LDSB to move their sign at the lower end of the village as it is causing a reduction in visibility.

The Parish Council is content for LDSB to perform on Lanner Playing Field provided they have appropriate public liability insurance cover.
