Invitation to tender for contracts

INVITATIONS TO TENDER ARE CURRENTLY INVITED FOR A RANGE OF MAINTENANCE SCHEMES FOR THE PERIOD 1/4/18 TO 31/3/21.

CLOSING DATE FOR RETURN IS 23RD OCTOBER 2017

 

INVITATION TO TENDER FOR CONTRACTS 1/04/2018 to 31/03/2021

Please note: Contracts will be awarded for a three-year term with a period of one months’ notice should either party wish to terminate.

 

Contract 1 Litter Picking:

To collect and remove litter from central area of Lanner Village for a total of 3.5 hours per week.

To collect and remove litter from Lanner Playing Field for a total of two hours per week.

To collect and remove litter from Strawberry Fields recreation field for a total of 0.5 hours per week.

 


 

Contract 2 Bus Shelter Cleaning Service:

To remove litter from and clean glass/frames of bus shelters at Lanner Moor, Bell Lane, Lanner Hill, Sandy Lane and South Downs.

Cleaning to be completed once per month.

Bi – Annual removal of weeds/vegetation from edges of frames and clean of concrete base.

 


 

Contract 3 Cleaning of public seating, signs, notice and interpretation boards:

Cleaning of public seating at the following locations – twice per annum:

Lanner Hill, Lanner Square, Lanner Lawn Cemetery (Garden of Reflection), Church Green, Tresavean Tramway.

Signs/notice boards/stones/interpretation signs at the following locations:

Lanner Moor Playing Field, Strawberry Fields Recreation Field, Lanner Lawn Cemetery, Lanner Moor, Lanner Square, Lanner Village Hall, Tresavean Tramway, Carn Marth, Lanner Hill and Lanner Moor. (map of locations supplied on award of contract).

 


 

Contract 4 Toilet Cleaning:

To provide a full cleaning service for facilities at Lanner Moor Playing Field.

To clean all areas (including floor) twice weekly.

To provide and re stock consumables at each visit.

Notes:

Contractor to provide all equipment and materials required.  To hold and be able to provide written confirmation of appropriate liability insurance and medical vaccinations. Contractor to report any defects to Clerk as soon as possible. Contractor to respond promptly to call out if emergency cleansings are necessary.

 


 

Contract 5 Grass cutting and maintenance: to ensure all areas managed by Council are presented to the highest standard and maintained to allow the enjoyment and use of all facilities. 

To cut and clear grass at the following locations:

Church Green, Entrance Splays Lanmoor Estate & Henscol – 16 cuts pa – twice monthly April to September; 4 cuts October to March, as appropriate. Church Green only – cut to all boundary hedges twice per annum.  (must ensure no overhanging of vegetation to highway).  Cutting/felling of trees by arrangement with the Clerk.  Lanmoor only trimming of all shrubs/trees by arrangement with the Clerk.

Lanner Lawn Cemetery – 16 cuts pa – twice monthly April to September; 4 cuts October to March, as appropriate but must include cut in mid-December. All grass cuttings to be removed from headstones.

Cut to boundary hedges twice per year.

Levelling of graves by arrangement with the Clerk.

4 cuts per annum to Lawn Cemetery extension.

Lanner Churchyard – 4 cuts pa – by arrangement with the Clerk. Hard Cutting/pruning of vegetation adjacent to pathway leading to Lanner Lawn Cemetery twice per annum or by arrangement with the Clerk.

Lanner Moor Playing Field – 16 cuts pa – twice monthly April to September; 4 cuts October to March, as appropriate but must include cut in mid-December. NB: All grass cuttings to be removed from play equipment.

Cut to boundary hedges twice per year.

To strim tops of all hedges as appropriate. To remove all vegetation from base of boundary walls, gateways, paths and curbside of all play equipment and external frontage.

Strawberry Fields Recreation Area – 16 cuts pa – twice monthly April to September; 4 cuts October to March, as appropriate but must include cut in mid-December. NB: All grass cuttings to be removed from play equipment.

Cut to boundary hedges as appropriate with inclusion of tops of Cornish hedges.

 


 

Contract 6 Bridleways and Footpaths:

To cut and clear bridleways and footpaths as per schedule attached.

To report any missing waymarkers, blockages of paths, broken stiles or other defects to the Clerk.

 


 

Contract 7 Planting of Hanging Baskets:

To plant up to 20 hanging baskets (as supplied) to create an attractive, colourful display with trailing plant features.

 


 

Contract 8 Watering of Hanging Baskets:

To feed and water hanging baskets through summer months.

 


 

Contract 9 Weed Killing:

To carry out weed killing process to pavements/road curtilage throughout areas of Lanner as per specification on map provided.

 

Further details are available from the Clerk on request.

Written evidence of appropriate insurance cover, qualification and medical vaccination must be provided where required on award of contract.

Contractor to provide all equipment and materials required.  To ensure appropriate disposal of all collected rubbish.

If tendering for more than one contract please quote prices separately.

Tenders should be submitted to the Clerk in writing not later than Monday 23rd October 2017
